If you're new to Undropship, the search bar might look a little unusual. Instead of typing something like “mid-century coffee table”, we ask you to paste the URL of the furniture you’re interested in.
There’s a good reason for this.
Furniture retailers often sell the exact same item under different names, descriptions, and prices. By using the product page URL, Undropship can identify the exact item you’re looking at and search the web for other stores selling that same piece.
In other words, the URL acts like a treasure map that helps us find identical listings hiding across the internet!
Why a Normal Search Wouldn’t Work
Most furniture marketplaces rely on keyword searches. But furniture sellers frequently change product names when listing the same item.
For example, the same bench might appear online as:
“Marcie Storage Accent Bench” on one store,
“Erica Upholstered Storage Bench” on another store, and
“Soft-Close Linen Bench with Storage” on yet another!
Even though these listings may refer to the exact same product, a keyword search might never connect them.
By analyzing the product page itself, Undropship can match the item more accurately and uncover listings that would otherwise stay hidden.
How the URL Helps Us Find Matches
When you paste a product URL into Undropship, our system analyzes the product page and extracts information such as:
Product specifications
Dimensions and materials
Manufacturer data
Images and other identifiers
We then compare that information against listings across multiple retailers to find identical or near-identical matches.
Once the search finishes, you’ll see a list of stores selling the same item, along with their prices.

How to Find the Correct Product URL
To get the best results, make sure you're copying the link from the actual product page, not a category or search page.
Good example:
Not ideal (because this actually links to a "category page"):
The product page URL contains information that helps Undropship identify the exact item you're searching for.

“Copy the product page URL from the address bar of the item you want to compare.”
Common Question: Can I Just Paste a Product Name Instead?
Not yet.
Because retailers rename identical products, a keyword search would often produce inaccurate matches or miss the same item entirely.
Using the product URL ensures we start with the exact item you’re looking at, which allows Undropship to find more reliable price comparisons.
What Happens After You Paste the URL?
Once you paste the product link into the Undropship search bar and start the search, our system scans multiple retailers to find identical listings and compare prices.
This process usually takes only a few seconds.

One More Tip for Bargain Hunters
If you’re browsing furniture and wondering whether you’re about to overpay, simply copy the product page URL and run it through Undropship before checking out.
You might uncover the exact same item being sold elsewhere for significantly less.
And every savvy shopper knows—before you buy, it never hurts to scan the horizon for better treasure.
